        We also produce DVD-ROM's, containing service manuals for a range of products. The service books are in Darviewer format and are accessed via an interactive menu screen. The books are extensively hot-linked and bookmarked, so any specific page can be found in a few mouse clicks. The DVD's can store large amounts of information. For example, the Honda Motorcycle Technical Information DVD v16.00 has over 70,000 pages of text, images and video on one DVD. The files are locked and time-stamped thereby ensuring information is kept current, as the files are unable to be viewed after the cut-off date. 

        A key feature of the Motorcycle DVD software is its ability to locate specific information. There is no limit to the number of DVD's that can be accessed. The user can install the system files only to their hard drive, or install all of the DVD, depending on their hard drive space. The software will search for the required file once, then store its location on the users hard drive, so the next access is very fast. The required file can be located anywhere, the users hard drive, the DVD or a network drive. If the file cannot be found, the user is prompted to insert the correct disc. 

        The DVD's are integrated with the internet. New models can be viewed from the web. The menu screens link directly to the site. Menu screens can also be updated. There is an update facility within the DVD. When the update link is clicked, the software automatically downloads any new information and displays it for the user. In this way any service bulletins or urgent information can be relayed to the dealer network with no need for e-mailing each dealer individually. This also avoids the risk of virus contamination and being lost in spam mail.
